Just as Arbroath is a Scottish town proud of it's pageantry, my wife & I happily stumbled upon a Catalunyan gem in the town of Tortosa whose folk hold a very impressive processional & musical extravaganza, the 'Festa del Renaixement' every summer which takes the town joyfully back into the 16th century. We heartily recommend it - but only in between enjoying Arbroath's own feast of entertainment in July & August !
